Currently every time I want to go to the 3 channels I watch I have to scroll through all the channels. (I have 3 others in my family that watch other channels). It would be way faster to have favorite channels saved to my profile so I wouldn't have to scroll through channels I am not going to watch.31 votesUnder consideration · AdminRob Rubinoff (C Spire TV Product Manager, C Spire Home Services) responded
Thanks very much for your suggestion. This suggestion has been made by other folks and we are working internally to determine the best course of action on how to add this features as quickly as possible.
I will be merging this thread with an existing thread requesting Favorite Channels.
I would like the option after I have viewed a show I recorded, a window pops up giving you the option to either save/retain the show or to delete the show.30 votes
Hi, this is part of a larger group of DVR related improvements we’re working hard to bring to a future release just as soon as we can.
Right now there is no way to see what you're watching unless you disrupt the stream and go to the guide. The show description, channel, etc needs to be on the same level that displays the guide, shows, manage recording options.30 votesUnder consideration · AdminRob Rubinoff (C Spire TV Product Manager, C Spire Home Services) responded
Tim – thanks for this suggestion. I’ve edited the title and moved it from ‘bug’ to ‘feature request’ to make it a little easier for other customers / users to vote up.
If you have multiple recordings of the same TV series, when you're done watching one episode, you have to go back through the process to watch the next episode. It'd be great if a button popped up on the bottom to watch next show like Netflix does.23 votes
Hi Cara – Thanks very much for your suggestion. We are aware of this need and are working hard to improve what we call the ‘post roll’ experience. So when you’ve finished watching an episode, the system is smart and will know there’s another episode available to play.
Your input will help us prioritize this and include it in a future release!
The search feature for recording programs seems to only find shows that are currently on air. Networks preview programs like Christmas specials that I cannot schedule to be recorded because they are several weeks away and aren't found in a search. Another example are some summer shows that can't be scheduled now. It would be nice to be able to find a show that is not currently airing and tell the DVR to record it when it comes on. My previous Uverse service was able to do this.16 votesUnder consideration · AdminRob Rubinoff (C Spire TV Product Manager, C Spire Home Services) responded
Hi Josh – Thanks very much for taking the time to provide your feature suggestion.
At present, you can schedule new recordings up to 14 days in advance via the search interface, and can ‘scroll’ forward in the Guide up to 7 days.
We had not considered some of the situations you present. And if we find that a lot of other C Spire TV customers are needing the ability to set recordings multiple months in the future, we will work hard to implement this feature.
Thanks again for the input and please keep any and all suggestions coming!
I would like to record a show or movie that I know has been on tv before and expect it to be on in the future. If the show does not show up when I look for it in search mode there is no way to set a recording. (For example I tried to set a recording of Now You See Me. It did not show up in the search, so I have no way to set a recording for it. The making of Now You See Me 2 showed up; another example, seasonal shows – how can I set something to record when a new season starts? Spring Baking Championship, Holiday Baking Championship, Halloween Baking Championship, Pumpkin Carving Championship, etc.)

We are investigating how best to enable you to easily be able to find and add future recordings. We’re looking at creating a ‘Show Other Times’ button on an episode or movie detail page. This would provide a list of future times when the same program will air, info on what channel / network, etc. Then you would be able to select which future playing of the show you want to record.

Right now if I have 2 streams and two other family members are watching, it just tells me that I don't have enough streams. I would like the option to 'bump' my wife off her tablet so I can watch TV.15 votes

Hi – The 1.2 server and app updates have brought surround sound to the Apple TV platform. We are continuing to work on Amazon Fire TV and Android TV platforms.

Thanks for this suggestion. I noticed this as well over this past weekend.
I would like to be able to remove channels from my lineup in order prevent my kids from having access to certain channels.11 votes
It seems to point of individual profiles is so that recommendations can be made based on viewing or recording habits but I would like an option to connect recordings to different profiles.11 votes
Tim – thanks for your input on this.
I would love it if the current program would automatically begin when I turn on the TV and Fire Stick. Right now, it picks up with the show we were watching the night before. It's annoying to have to spend the additional time required to tune to the current program. For instance, we watch the news in the mornings. When we turn on the TV in the afternoon, I don't want to pick up with the morning news!10 votes
Hi – thanks again for your input on this. I moved this into the ‘bug’ category and have provided our development team with a task to update this in a future release.
If you were watching a video on demand or recorded program, I understand why at startup you’d want to go back to the exact spot and pick up watching.
But since this is LIVE we’re talking about, we shouldn’t make you have to exit the current program to pull up the live stream.
I love Tom Cruise movies and i want to be able to search Tom Cruise from the search page and have results for all tom cruise movies i can watch.10 votes
I set my DVR to record "Everybody Loves Raymond," and now it's nearly full of nothing but -- because it records every occurrence of that show, which is heavy syndication. I'd like it to keep only, say, the five most recently-recorded episodes. I'm about ready to stop recording the show to avoid this problem, but that's no fun. Wish it were not an all-or-nothing feature. (And I like the suggestion of recording only NEW episodes, but that would not apply to a show like "Raymond," which no longer has new episodes.)8 votes
Hi Wilson – Thanks for providing this suggestion. This is something that is on our roadmap. This is great confirmation that this feature is needed!
It seems like the infrastructure is there to be able to watch some shows on demand rather than having to record everything all the time. I would like to be able to search a show and if available watch them on demand.8 votesNeeds more feedback · AdminRob Rubinoff (C Spire TV Product Manager, C Spire Home Services) responded
Hi Tim – thanks again for all this awesome feedback.
C Spire TV does include a wealth of ‘On Demand’ content. The networks send us thousands of hours of on demand video content each month.
On Demand episodes are available from the ‘Series’ pages along with upcoming shows, recorded shows, and shows that are available to you via the Replay TV feature. Basically if you navigate to a series page like Big Brother, you will see episodes organized by season no matter where they come from.
It would be nice to add the streaming feature without having to return ALL the set top boxes. Being able top mix and match would be ideal and you could charge for it!8 votes
Please add (Stop and go to live TV), & (Stop and Delete), as options you can select when you pause a recorded shows. That way if for some reason you need to stop watching a recorded show you can just stop and have the system take you to live TV or when you are finished watching a show you can just Stop and Delete the show without having to go around the world to do so. You could have the first option take you to live TV and the second take you back to recorded shows to watch another recorded show.
