Favorite Channels List - By Profile
Currently every time I want to go to the 3 channels I watch I have to scroll through all the channels. (I have 3 others in my family that watch other channels). It would be way faster to have favorite channels saved to my profile so I wouldn't have to scroll through channels I am not going to watch.

Thanks very much for your suggestion. This suggestion has been made by other folks and we are working internally to determine the best course of action on how to add this features as quickly as possible.
I will be merging this thread with an existing thread requesting Favorite Channels.

The Option to Save or Delete a recorded show after viewing
I would like the option after I have viewed a show I recorded, a window pops up giving you the option to either save/retain the show or to delete the show.
48 votesHi, this is part of a larger group of DVR related improvements we’re working hard to bring to a future release just as soon as we can.

Make Current Program Info More Easily Accessible
Right now there is no way to see what you're watching unless you disrupt the stream and go to the guide. The show description, channel, etc needs to be on the same level that displays the guide, shows, manage recording options.

Tim – thanks for this suggestion. I’ve edited the title and moved it from ‘bug’ to ‘feature request’ to make it a little easier for other customers / users to vote up.

Allow scheduling of programs not currently airing
The search feature for recording programs seems to only find shows that are currently on air. Networks preview programs like Christmas specials that I cannot schedule to be recorded because they are several weeks away and aren't found in a search. Another example are some summer shows that can't be scheduled now. It would be nice to be able to find a show that is not currently airing and tell the DVR to record it when it comes on. My previous Uverse service was able to do this.

Hi Josh – Thanks very much for taking the time to provide your feature suggestion.
At present, you can schedule new recordings up to 14 days in advance via the search interface, and can ‘scroll’ forward in the Guide up to 7 days.We had not considered some of the situations you present. And if we find that a lot of other C Spire TV customers are needing the ability to set recordings multiple months in the future, we will work hard to implement this feature.
Thanks again for the input and please keep any and all suggestions coming!

Make Watching Next Episode in DVR Easier
If you have multiple recordings of the same TV series, when you're done watching one episode, you have to go back through the process to watch the next episode. It'd be great if a button popped up on the bottom to watch next show like Netflix does.
39 votesHi Cara – Thanks very much for your suggestion. We are aware of this need and are working hard to improve what we call the ‘post roll’ experience. So when you’ve finished watching an episode, the system is smart and will know there’s another episode available to play.
Your input will help us prioritize this and include it in a future release!

Let me try C Spire TV before upgrading
Let current C Spire TV 1.0 customers give the new product a try before having to disconnect my current service and commit to something that is new and unfamiliar.

Keep only a "maximum" number of episodes of a program in the DVR
I set my DVR to record "Everybody Loves Raymond," and now it's nearly full of nothing but -- because it records every occurrence of that show, which is heavy syndication. I'd like it to keep only, say, the five most recently-recorded episodes. I'm about ready to stop recording the show to avoid this problem, but that's no fun. Wish it were not an all-or-nothing feature. (And I like the suggestion of recording only NEW episodes, but that would not apply to a show like "Raymond," which no longer has new episodes.)
19 votesHi Wilson – Thanks for providing this suggestion. This is something that is on our roadmap. This is great confirmation that this feature is needed!

Connect recordings to profile
It seems to point of individual profiles is so that recommendations can be made based on viewing or recording habits but I would like an option to connect recordings to different profiles.

Handle Not Enough Streams in a better way
Right now if I have 2 streams and two other family members are watching, it just tells me that I don't have enough streams. I would like the option to 'bump' my wife off her tablet so I can watch TV.

During a severe weather NWS alert, it currently does not allow me to change the channel to check local weather.
During a severe weather NWS alert, it currently does not allow me to change the channel to check the local weather. It is critical to be able to see where the severe threat is and how close it is to our hose.

Add support for Samsung TVs
Samsung TVs that run the Tizen platform have a robust selection of apps that offer similar performance as AppleTV and Amazon Fire TV. It would be nice to have the C Spire TV app available on that platform where other services like Netflix and Amazon Movies are already available.

(Stop and go to live TV), & (Stop and Delete) selections as options for paused recording
Please add (Stop and go to live TV), & (Stop and Delete), as options you can select when you pause a recorded shows. That way if for some reason you need to stop watching a recorded show you can just stop and have the system take you to live TV or when you are finished watching a show you can just Stop and Delete the show without having to go around the world to do so. You could have the first option take you to live TV and the second take you back to recorded shows to watch another recorded…

Better Search on Amazon Fire TV
I would like my search to Auto-complete and I would like recommendations based on the type of show or keyword (Like war shows all War-based shows on like Ken Burns Vietnam). And the search field is blocking the list of results which makes it tough to know if a show I want is shown or not.

Hi -
Amazon Fire TV search interface does update the results as you type your query.
We are working to be able to show this in a better fashion because now it’s obscured by the virtual keyboard and dark grey overlay.

Add Cloud DVR program recording to phone app
The old phone app that no longer functions let you schedule programs to record. That feature was very useful for people who travel a lot. The new app apparently lacks that feature (or so I was told when I asked). The feature should be restored so that the Cloud DVR can be programmed to record when one is away from home.
6 votesThanks for this suggestion. This feature is something we are currently working on.
